ST. JOSEPH, MO. - The Washburn Women's Golf Team finishes day 1 of the Regional Preview.

"It was an extremely difficult day out with wind on a tough course. We didn't have our best stuff but they stayed positive throughout the day. Still in position to have a solid day tomorrow and get a Top 5 finish. Will be another hard day with weather but will be good to see how we respond," said Washburn Head Coach Ronnie McHenry.

Angelina Borg-Malec shot a round 1 77(+5) and is tied for 9th, is 5 shots back of the lead.

The team is T-11th and look to climb up the team leaderboard in the final round tomorrow.
