KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod men's basketball team will enter the new year on top of the NABC Top 25 Coaches Poll and will be ranked No. 1 for the second-straight week after going 2-0 at the River City Holiday Classic last week in San Antonio with a pair of top-five wins. The Ichabods will return to action on Jan. 3 hosting Emporia State at 3 p.m. in Lee Arena.

The Ichabods moved to 13-0 – one of six remaining undefeated teams in Division II – after beating then-No. 7 Lubbock Christian and No. 4 West Texas A&M to remain at the top of the rankings

The Ichabods had been ranked No. 2 in each poll this season, but moved up to the top spot on Dec. 16. The Ichabods have been ranked in the top 10 in the last 20 polls dating back to last year and in the top five in the last 18 consecutive polls.
