KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Washburn's Alex Hart has been named the MIAA's Field Athlete of the Week after her performances in two events last week at the Washburn Open.

Hart won the high jump and finished fourth in the triple jump at the Washburn Open last weekend. In the triple jump, Hart set the school record in the event with a mark of 11.69m (38-04.25) topping the previous school mark of 11.35m (37-03.00). After placing fourth jump on Friday, she won the high jump with a height of 1.77m (5-08.75) with the third-best mark in the D2 ranks this season also setting a meet record as well.
