3/4/2025 4:10:00 PM

ROGERS, Ark. -- Despite Mother Nature's best efforts, the Washburn Ichabod men's golf team finished up the second round of the Arkansas-Fort Smith at Shadow Valley Country Club on Tuesday, with the Ichabods remaining in 14th place with a two-round team total of 636.

With strong storms rolling through northwest Arkansas in the morning, tournament officials cancelled the scheduled third round of the event. Players returned to the course Tuesday afternoon to complete the second round, which was suspended by darkness on Monday.

Marco Anderson finished in a solo 6th place for the Ichabods, turning in a 3-over 75 for a two-day total of 149. Anderson made six birdies in his second round.

Blake Saffell gave Washburn its best score of the second round, firing a 1-over 73 to finish in a tie for 44th place with a total of 158.

Zach Vandervoort finished in a tie for 64th place, posting an 81 to finish the tournament with a score of 162.

Lane Workman came in a tie for 82nd with a two-round total of 168.

Quinn Earwood finished in 91st, posting a two-day total of 177.

Playing as an individual, James Hill came in a tie for 38th, finishing with a tournament-total 157 after a second-round 80.

The Ichabods will return to action at the Arizona Super Tournament from March 21-25.
