LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Ichabod Men's Golf Team is in 17th heading into the final day of Stroke Play of the NCAA National Championships.
"I thought we responded well today and showed a lot more consistency throughout the round," said Ichabod Head Coach
Ronnie McHenry. "Marco played really steady golf for us, and Jacob continues to put himself in a great position against the best field in the country. We know we still have work to do heading into tomorrow, but this group is going to keep fighting until the end."
Washburn shot 2-over par in Round 2 at the National Championships. They sit 7-over for the tournament and 11 shots back of the cut line to advance to the Match Play portion of the Championships.
Senior
Marco Anderson led the way for the Ichabods in round two, shooting a 70(-2), making five birdies on the day. He sits tied for 39th at even par.
Jacob Fratzel shot a 71(-1) to move up the leaderboard into a tie for 15th heading into tomorrow, as he is 3-under for the tournament.
Myles Tarvin shot 1-over 73 on the day and is 3-over for the tournament, and he is sitting tied for 65th.
Blake Buessing shot a 76(+4) in round two and is tied for 81st,
Jake Kolich is tied for 101 after shooting a 79 on day 2.
Washburn will tee off the Final Round of Stroke play tomorrow at 8:25 AM PT/ 10:25 AM CT.
