MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's golf team took 12th place in its regular season finale at the Spring Regional Preview on Tuesday, finishing with a team total of 621 over two rounds at Shangri-La Country Club. The Ichabods will open postseason play with the MIAA Golf Championships from Apr. 13-15 at Meadowlark Hills Golf Club in Kearney, Neb.
Angelina Borg-Malec led the Ichabods for the second consecutive day, finishing the tournament at 4-over and in a tie for 19th place following a second-round 74. Borg-Malec opened her round with a birdie at the par-3, 129-yard 8th hole.
Susana Granados Carrion finished in a tie for 39th place after a 4-over 76 in the second round. Granados Carrion made three birdies on the day, with two of them coming on par-5 holes.
Keira Ronsick finished in a tie for 49th place, posting a 6-over 78 to conclude the tournament. Ronsick made birdie at the 6th and 16th holes in the round.
Aliyah North closed the event with a second-round 83 to finish in 73rd place. North made par on four of the five par-3 holes on the course.
Lois Deeter finished in a tie for 101st place after a round of 88. Deeter made birdie at the par-4, 338-yard 2nd hole.
Henderson State claimed the team title with a score of 574, earning a three-stroke victory over Central Missouri. Henderson State's Felisa Sajulga took home the individual title at 8-under for the tournament.
