EDMOND, Okla. – The Washburn Ichabod women's golf team completed its historic first season on Wednesday, finishing in 13
th place at the NCAA Central Regional at KickingBird Golf Course. The Ichabods shot 307 in the third round as a team, giving them a score of 893 for the event.
Susana Granados Carrion paced the Ichabods for the morning, firing a 4-over 74 to finish in a tie for 30
th place. Granados Carrion made birdie at the par-3, 150-yard 16
th hole.
Keira Ronsick finished in a tie for 46
th place with a round of 77. Ronsick started off strong, making birdie at the par-4, 295-yard 2
nd hole.
Aliyah North finished the tournament in a tie for 53rd after a round of 81. North made four consecutive pars to close her round.
Angelina Borg-Malec ended the event in a tie for 60th after a third-round 77. Borg-Malec opened the back nine with a birdie at the par-4, 346-yard 10
th hole.
Allie Sullivan finished in 90
th after a round of 79. Sullivan joined Granados Carrion in making birdie at the 16
th hole.
Central Missouri took home the team title, posting a three-round score of 845. Henderson State, Arkansas Tech, and Arkansas Fort-Smith joined the Jennies as the four team qualifiers for the NCAA National Championships in Boulder City, Nev.
