AUSTIN, Texas – Tim Hammes was named as the first ever College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American by the organization on Wednesday morning.  

The Ichabod senior adds to an ITA All-American with an academic All-American second team honor after being named to the CSC Academic All-District team last month. Hammes is on of 18 student-athletes recognized and is the only member of the MIAA/GAC.  

The Krefeld, Germany native finished the season ranked No. 3 in the nation in singles and doubles, earning the doubles ranking with Matthew Earle. In singles play he went 27-9 on the year with a 15-8 mark at No. 1. He was 7-7 in duals against ranked opponents. In doubles he finished the year 24-10 overall and 14-9 at No. 1. In the fall he won a second straight ITA Cup Doubles National Championship.  

Academically, Hammes is a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and has earned MIAA Scholar Athlete status all four years. He has a 3.66 cumulative GPA while majoring in International Business.
