HUDSON, WISC. - The Ichabod Women's Golf team kicks off the season with a 2nd place finish at the Fall Brawl.

"We played great today and more like what we should be the rest of the year. Tied for the low round of the day, and Susana played great with the under-par round. This team can keep getting better and really compete within our conference and region," said Washburn Head Coach Ronnie McHenry.

Susana Granados Carrion shot a 71(-1) to take 4th overall as the Spaniard was 5 over for the tournament. She birdied the last hole to go under par on the day.

Junior Keira Ronsick finished 5th as she was +6 for the tournament with a 72(+1) yesterday and followed it up with a 76(+5) in the final round

The Ichabods, as a team, placed 2nd overall with a team score of 609 over the two-round tournament, 21 strokes ahead of 3rd place Winona State.

Minnesota State won the tourney with a team score of 599(+31), they were one of the two hosts of the tournament.

Next week, the Ichabods will travel to Palm Desert, Calif., for the Lady Bulldog Desert Classic that will start Sunday, September 28th at the Avondale Golf Club.
