BELLINGHAM, WASH. - The Washburn Men's Golf Team finished day 1 of the Western Washington Invitational on Monday.
"There was a lot of good play from all 5 guys, but too many little mental mistakes that held us back. We have a good team, and if we can get all 5 guys playing well together like our chances this year. Hopefully, we can have a strong final round tomorrow before we head back home," said Head Coach
Ronnie McHenry.
Myles Tarvin led the way on day 1 for the Ichabods, where he shot a 72 & 70 in rounds 1 & 2. He sits T-8th at the end of Monday at -2.
Freshman
Jacob Fratzel also sits in the top 20 after day 1. He sits T-14th at even par; he shot a 71(-1) in round 2.
