KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod men's golf team had eight student-athletes on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, one Scholar Athlete and one Academic Excellence honoree that was released today by the league office.
James Hill was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll while majoring in business.
Myles Tarvin earned MIAA Scholar Athlete recognition after earning all-MIAA honors while recording a grade point average greater than 3.5.
Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for the squad were:
Blake Buessing (business),
Jake Conley (management),
Quinn Earwood (management),
James Hill (business)
Michael Matteucci (finance),
Brody Scafe (finance),
Myles Tarvin (communication) and
Zach Vandervoort (finance).
To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
The team's newcomers will be eligible for the awards at the conclusion of the spring semester after recording their two terms of attendance at Washburn.
