WARRENSBURG, MO. - The Washburn Men's Golf Team wraps up Day 1 of The Mule, where they sit 9th at +20 as a team.
"We had some really good play but also looked rusty at some points, making some mental mistakes that cost us. We are still in a good position to play well tomorrow and have a strong finish. It was nice to see a lot of our new guys face tournament situations," said Washburn Head Coach 
Ronnie McHenry.
The Ichabods were led by Senior 
Marco Anderson, who was T-2nd after he shot a 67(-3) in Round 1. In round 2, Anderson went even on the back nine and shot a 77, sitting at four over par and in 26th place at the end of day 1.
Two freshman made their college debuts today in 
Jacob Fratzel & 
Jake Kolich, both of Shawnee, Kan. Fratzel shot a team low in round 2 with a score of 71(+1) and also sits at 4 over(26th)
Sophomore transfer Miles Tarvin shot even par and sat T-12 at the end of Round 1. 
Central Oklahoma leads the tournament after day 1 with a score of -16.
The individual leader after day 1 is Baylor Bostick from Central Oklahoma, who is six under.
