KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Washburn Ichabod baseball was picked to finish fifth in the MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll released on Friday morning. The Ichabods received 92 total points in the poll.
Last season Washburn went 28-25 overall and 18-18 inside the MIAA, advancing to the MIAA Tournament semifinals. Central Missouri sits in the top spot of the poll with 12 first-place votes. Pittsburg State and Central Oklahoma follow at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. Missouri Southern is fourth and received the final first-place vote.
The 2026 season will get underway for the Ichabods on Feb. 6 in Boca Raton, Fla. against Lynn University.
