SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - The Ichabod Women's Golf Team concluded the Rattler Invitational this afternoon. The team took ninth, and Susana Granados Carrion finished tied for 7th. 

"For coach, the start of spring was successful! We had to get out and learn where our games are at and knock off the winter competition rust," said Washburn Ronnie McHenry. "Top 10 finish in this tournament is not easy, 5 or more of those teams will be at Nationals and DBU is a D2 juggernaut winning the national title the last two year. It's great to see those teams and where we want to get our program to. We have work to do but as the furthest north team and every team already played this spring it was nice to see."

Washburn played the final 18 holes after they wrapped up the final few holes in round 2 this morning, after play was suspended yesterday due to lack of daylight. 

Spaniard Susana Granados Carrion took home another top-10 finish this week, her fourth of the 25-26 season. She shot a final round score of 74(+2) to T-7th with a tournament score of 8-over. 

Senior Angelina Borg-Malec wrapped up the tournament with a final round score of 81(+9). She finished +20 and tied for 45th place. 

Wichita, Kan. native, Keira Ronsick finished T-55th at +23,  after shooting 77,78, 84 through the 54-hole tournament.

Junior Aliyah North finished 78th, shooting a 79 in the final round, which is her second-best round of the season. 

Sophomore Raegan Petersen finished in 83rd place and shot a 54-hole score of 257.

Washburn as a team finished in 9th place, #4 DBU took the tournament title after shooting +2 as a team. DBU also took home the individual title as Ella Cheek finished 14-under par that included two eagles during the tournament.

The Ichabods will travel to Marimar Beach, Fla., to play in the Emerald Coast Collegiate at Baytowne Golf Club from Sunday, March 8th, to Tuesday, March 10th.
