WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Washburn Men's Golf Team travels to Texas for the Midwestern State Invitational. 

"Guys are heading to Texas to take on a really good list of teams in Wichita Falls. Will be a different style of golf than we are used to, but they are hungry to get after it after our home event was cancelled this week," said Director of Golf Ronnie McHenry. " I know they will battle and hopefully we knock off the winter rust and play smart and solid."

Washburn won their last tournament down in Arizona, the first tournament win since 2022.

Jacob Fratzel tied for seventh two weeks ago in Arizona and has three top-10 finishes in his first six collegiate tournaments. 

Marco Anderson finished tied for 11th at the Maverick Desert Classic for the second time this season and his third top-20 finish of his senior season. 

Blake Buessing made his Ichabod debut in Arizona and finished tied 23rd. In his first-ever round, he shot a 69(-3).

Washburn will compete against Blinn, Cameron, Colorado Mines, DBU, Lubbock Christian, Midland, Midwestern State, New Mexico JC, Odessa, Southern Nazarene, St. Mary's, SW Oklahoma State, Texas A&M-International, UT Dallas, UT Permian Basin, Washburn, Western New Mexico, and Westminster.
The tournament will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:30 AM CT.
