WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Ichabod Men's Golf Team finished T-5th at the Midwestern State Invitational.
"Great week for the men as well, great list of teams they competed against and hung in there all 3 rounds," said Head Coach
Ronnie McHenry. "They seemed to knock off some rust and feel more comfortable out there. Full group effort as well, and need to build from there!"
Washburn placed tied for fifth with a team score of +13, it's their 3rd top-5 finish of the season, and they beat several nationally ranked teams.
Myles Tarvin &
Marco Anderson both tied for 12th at 1-over. Tarvin shot back-to-back rounds of 69(-2), while Anderson shot even in the final round.
Jacob Fratzel finished tied for 24th at 4-over; he shot a final round 72(+1).
Blake Buessing &
Brody Scafe finished tied 55th & t-66th respectively after finishing 11 & 12-over.
Individual
Jake Kolich tied for 79th with a 3-round score of +17.
UP NEXT
Washburn will be in Pittsburg, Kan., next week, March 30-31, for the Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational played at Crestwood Country Club.
