KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The MIAA announced Wednesday afternoon that Washburn's Aneglina Borg Malec was named Women's Co-Golfer of the Week.

Angelina Borg-Malec tied for third place this week at Washburn's first-ever Women's home tournament, the Firekeeper Open at Firekeeper Golf Course & Resort. She shot 5-over during the 54-hole tournament, including a 71(-1) in the final round. 

It is the second time in three weeks that Borg-Malec was named MIAA Golfer of the Week, and the third time in school history.

Angelina shared this week's award with Nebraska-Kearney's Pella Broms, who she tied with at 5-over par this week.
