BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - The Washburn Women's Golf Team sits in third after day one of the NSIC Preview.
"Proud of how the group competed today and stayed steady throughout the round," said Director of Golf
Ronnie McHenry. "We had some really solid individual performances and put ourselves in a good position heading into tomorrow. If we can clean up a few things and stay consistent, we'll have a chance to move up the leaderboard."
Washburn posted a team score of 16-over through 18 holes and trails the tournament leaders, Missouri Western, by three shots heading into the final round.
Susana Granados Carrion led the Ichabods with a 2-over 74, placing her in a tie for third after day one.
Keira Ronsick followed closely behind at 3-over, sitting in sixth place after carding a 75.
Raegan Petersen is inside the top-10 after firing a 4-over 76, good for 10th overall.
Aliyah North and
Angelina Borg-Malec are both tied for 20th at 7-over after rounds of 79.
Allie Sullivan, competing as an individual, shot an 8-over 80 and is in 27th place, while
Lois Deeter is 65th at 17-over.
The final round of the NSIC Preview will begin tomorrow at 10 AM CT.
