PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Washburn Men's Golf Team heads down to Pittsburg to play in the  Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational.

"It's another great challenge for our guys against a tough field filled with MIAA opponents. We see these teams all year, so it's about competing at a high level, staying consistent, and executing when it matters most," said the Washburn Head Coach, Ronnie McHenry.

Washburn took fifth place last week in Texas against many nationally ranked teams, tying #17 Dallas Baptist and shooting 13-over as a team. 

It's the team's 3rd top-5 finish of the season,

Myles Tarvin & Marco Anderson tied for 12th at the Midwestern State Invitational, after both shooting 1-over par after 54 holes. 

Jacob Fratzel has six top-25 finishes out of his first seven collegiate tournaments played.

The Ichabods will go up against Arkansas-Fort Smith, Bemidji State, Central Missouri, Central Oklahoma, Concordia (St. Paul), Fort Hays State, Minnesota-Crookston, Missouri Southern, Missouri Western, Newman, Northeastern State, NW Oklahoma State, Pittsburg State, Rogers State, Sioux Falls, and Winona State.

The tournament will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:30 AM CT.
