MARIMAR BEACH, FLA. - The Ichabod Women's Golf Team completes day 1 of the Emerald Coast Collegiate, sitting in a tie for fourth.
"Very proud of how the team took on the challenge today, 2-hour rain delay, no range, and dealing with changes in weather conditions throughout the day can be tough," said Head Coach
Ronnie McHenry. " Very happy for Raegan and her round today, she has worked really hard. We have two more days and two more rounds that we need to play well for. But it was the start we needed."
The Ichabods are tied with MIAA foe Central Missouri at +13, while the leaders, UT Tyler, are 3-over as a team.
Raegan Petersen is tied for the lead after 18 holes at 2-under. Petersen had three birdies and an eagle during her opening round. It's the lowest round of her Washburn career; the past lowest was a 74 at the Midwest Classic.
French native
Angelina Borg-Malec is in a tie for 10th after she shot a 72(+1). She had five birdies, including back-to-back on 15 & 16.
Susana Granados Carrion,
Aliyah North &
Keira Ronsick all are tied for 48th after shooting 78s(+7)
Round 2 will tee off at 9 AM CT tomorrow, with the first Ichabod teeing off at 9:45 AM.
