JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Washburn Ichabod Men's Golf Team finished in second place at the MIAA Championships after the final round on Wednesday at Jefferson City Country Club.
The Ichabods closed the tournament at +14 overall, finishing in third place. Washburn turned in an even-par final round, their best round over the 3-day tournament.
Jacob Fratzel led the way for Washburn, finishing seventh individually at +1 after shooting an even-par 72 in the final round. It is Fratzel's 6th top-10 finish of the season, the most by any Ichabod this season.
Myles Tarvin put together a solid final round, carding a 73 (+1) to finish tied for 19th overall at +8.
Marco Anderson delivered one of the best rounds of the day, firing a 67 (-5) to climb the leaderboard, finish at +7 for the tournament, and in 16th place.
Brody Scafe finished at +14 overall after shooting a 76 (+4) in the final round, placing him 39th.
Blake Buessing rounded out the Ichabod lineup, finishing tied for 22nd at +9.
Central Oklahoma won the tournament title by 21 strokes, while shooting an impressive 10-under as a team in the final round.
