BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Washburn Ichabod Men's Golf Team is tied for fourth place heading into the Final Round of the NCAA DII Central/Midwest Regional.
"The guys are hanging in and giving us a shot at Nationals with 1 round left. 7 under on the last 2 holes is the finish we needed and very impressive," said Ichabod Head Coach
Ronnie McHenry. "Tomorrow will be a fight until the very end on a golf course like this. We have 4 players with high school state championships, hopefully we can use some of that to help our young group."
Washburn shot even par as a team in Round 2, finishing the last two holes 8-under as a team. They were 7-over on the day and 14-over for the tournament through 16 holes, then came in blazing hot in the final two holes to go even on the day and 7-over for the tournament, and are tied for the last remaining spot for nationals heading into the final day.
