WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Washburn men's golf is set to open its fall season on Tuesday morning at The Mule, hosted by Central Missouri. The Ichabods return 11 golfers and bring in two freshmen for the 2026-27 season.
Jacob Fratzel returns to Washburn for his sophomore season. He led the Ichabods in stroke average at 72.47 as a freshman. In 12 events, Fratzel finished top five once and notched six top 10 finishes in the 2025-26 season.
Myles Tarvin is back for his junior season and second year as an Ichabod after a year at Missouri-Kansas City. In 12 events, Tarvin had two top five finishes and two top 10 finishes last season.
Blake Buessing returns to Washburn for his senior season. In seven events last season, Buessing averaged 74.95 strokes.
Jake Kolich enters his sophomore season at Washburn. Kolich placed top 10 in one event in the 2025-26 season.
Henry Thompson and
Max Farber join Washburn for their freshmen season. Thompson joins the Ichabods after graduating from Free State High School in Lawrence, Kan. Farber comes to Washburn, graduating from Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita, Kan.
