Ichabods ranked No. 25 in AFCA National Poll

WACO, Texas -- The Washburn Ichabods were tabbed as the No. 25 team in the country in the American Football Coaches Association Preseason Poll which was released today (Aug. 21). The Ichabods will open the 2007 campaign against No. 5 ranked Chadron State on Saturday at noon in Yager Stadium.
It is the second time under sixth-year head coach Craig Schurig the Ichabods have been placed in the preseason poll as they were No. 17 in the 2006 poll by the coacheswhile being ranked in nine of the 13 polls a year ago.
The Ichabods were No. 24 in the d2football.com preseason poll which was released last week.
