OMAHA, Neb. - The Lady Blues hit .459 in a 25-14 win in the first set but played from behind in most of the final three in a 3-1 (14-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-21) loss at Nebraska-Omaha. The seventh-ranked Lady Blues fell to 26-3, 11-3 MIAA as they had their 12-match winning streak snapped.

Monica Miesner had nine kills to move into fifth in career kills at Washburn and became the second player in the top five in kills and digs at Washburn. She now has 1,494 kills and 1,778 digs (second).

Ashley Shepard and Mollie Lacy led the team with 13 kills each. Jennifer Kolarik had a career-high six kills and hit .445, all from the back row.

The Lady Blues out-hit UNO, .237 to .224, but the Mavericks had 13 blocks while WU had just three. Washburn also committed nine service errors.
