KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabod football team had five players selected for the first team all-MIAA squad which was released today. Washburn also added a second team, a third team and five honorable mention selections. The Ichabods recorded their 10th-straight winning season with an 8-3 record.
The first first team selections were the most since the Ichabods received five in 2007 and six in 2005 when the Ichabods won the MIAA Championship. The 12 overall selections were the most since the Ichabods received 15 following the 2011 season.

First Team
Tore' Hurst -- led the Ichabods in receiving this season with 40 catches, 575 yards and seven touchdowns. For his career he recorded 1,820 receiving yards on 129 catches with 124 touchdowns, which ranks fourth all time. His pass reception total is fifth and yard total was ninth. Hurst was a second team pick as a junior and an honorable mention selection as a sophomore.
Bryce Atagi -- led the Ichabods with 90 tackles and 54 solo stops. He tied for the MIAA lead with five interceptions while adding 10 tackles for loss for 44 yards. He finished ninth in the MIAA in tackles. He finished his career third in all-time tackles at Washburn with 346 and third in tackles for loss with 35.5. Atagi was a second team all-MIAA pick as a junior.
Kyle Duncan -- started all 11 games on the offensive line helping the Ichabods to the No. 4 scoring offensive unit in the league at 41 points per game and the No. 5 passing unit at 279 yards per game. He appeared in 41 career games at Washburn. Duncan was an honorable mention all-MIAA pick as a junior.
Cameron Jackson -- recorded 39 tackles with a team-high 14.5 tackles for loss while also leading the team with 7.5 sacks this season. He finished second in the MIAA in sacks and second in tackles for loss. He finished ninth on the Washburn career sack chart while only playing two seasons at Washburn.
Justin Linn -- led the Ichabods in scoring with 95 points while hitting 14 of 19 field goals and converting 53 of 57 extra point attempts. He was 2 of 2 on field goals of at least 50 yards hitting a 50-yard field goal against Fort Valley State and a 51-yard attempt against Nebraska-Kearney in the season opener which was 1-yard shy of the school record. He also recorded 17 touchbacks on kickoffs averaging 58 yards per kickoff placing opponents at an average starting position of the 27 yard line. He finished fifth in the MIAA in scoring at 8.5 points per game.
Second Team
D.J. Wakes -- finished fourth on the team with 52 tackles adding 4.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions in his first season at Washburn. He finished sixth in the MIAA in forced fumbles.
Third Team
DaJuan Beard -- was a third team pick while only playing seven games this season finishing second on the team with 37 catches for 488 yards. He tied a school record with 13 receptions against Missouri Western on a career-high 182 receving yards. Beard was a second team selection in 2011 as a sophomore.
Honorable Mention
Matt Kobbeman -- finished third on the team with 480 receiving yards and 33 catches adding three touchdowns. For his career he had 126 catches for 1,682 yards and 11 touchdowns. His pass receptions total is seventh all-time at Washburn and his receiving yards total is 12th in school history.
Michael Miller -- started all 11 games on the offensive line helping the Ichabods to the No. 4 scoring offensive unit in the league at 41 points per game and the No. 5 passing unit at 279 yards per game.
Adebayo Oladapo -- recorded 24 tackles with 21 solo stops adding six tackles for loss for 33 yards and five sacks for 32 yards, which was second on the team and eighth in the MIAA rankings. He finished his career with 78 tackles and 15 tackles for loss and nine sacks.
Willie Williams -- finished sixth on the team with 45 tackles while adding 5.5 tackles for loss for 30 yards, 2.5 sacks and four interceptions. His interception total was second on the team and third in the MIAA. Williams was an honorable mention all-MIAA pick as a junior last season.
Devon Connors -- played in only four games after suffering a season-ending knee injury against Central Oklahoma and recorded seven tackles and one interception. He finished with five interceptions and 87 total tackles with 64 solo stops. He was an honorable mention selection as a junior.
