Final Results

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. -- The Washburn Ichabod golf team finished in a tie for 11th at the 63rd annual SoCal Intercollegiate Championships at the Mission Viejo Country Club. Washburn will return to action at the Central Oklahoma Classic April 2-3.

Ronnie McHenry finished in a tie for 13th after recording a 15-over 228 after rounds of 80, 76 and a 1-over 72 to finish the round. Trey Siegel placed in a tie for 24th with a pair of 75 and a final round of 82 for a total of 232.

Brian Walker recorded scores of 73, 82 and 81 for a three-round total of 236 placing him in a tie for 36th. Sam Schulte placed in a tie for 65th with scores of 83, 85 and 78 for a total of 246.

Nathan Hoefflin finished in 79th place after scores of 88, 89 and 95 for a total of 272.

The Ichabods had team scores of 311, 318 and 313 for a three-round total of 942. CSU-Stanislaus won the event with a team score of 891, three shots better than host squad CSU-Monterey Bay.

The individual winner was Alex Carpenter of Abilene Christian who finished with an 8-under 63 in his final round after back-to-back 72's for a total of 6-under 207.

Fellow MIAA school Central Oklahoma finished in a tie for fifth with a team score of 918 and Southwest Baptist finished 15th with a team total of 1020.
