EDMOND, Okla. -- The 2013 Broncho Invitational Broncho Invitational hosted by Central Oklahoma at Gaillardia Country Club has been canceled because of rain and the upcoming forecast across much of Oklahoma. Washburn will return to action on April 15 at the first MIAA meet of the spring at the Missouri Southern Invitational.

The two-day, 54-hole event was due to start with 36 holes Monday and finish with an 18-hole round Tuesday.  The tournament was switched to a 36-hole event early Monday morning and golfers started teeing off at 9 a.m. only to get a few holes before being forced off the course by lightning.

Hours of continued rain made the course unplayable and with the forecast for more bad weather throughout the night the decision was made to cancel the event.
