TOPEKA, Kan. – The Ichabod men's junior varsity basketball team pulled away late in a 91-73 win over the Ottawa University Black Junior Varsity team Monday evening in Lee Arena.
Washburn was neck and neck with the Braves throughout the entire first period until an offensive jolt helped the Ichabods eventually pull away. The Ichabods shot 56.3 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free-throw line and was led in scoring by
Darren Spruill with a career high 21 points.
Washburn will continue its home stand when it host Kansas City Kansas Community College on Dec. 3 as the prelude for an Ichabod men and women's team double header.
