TOPEKA, Kan. – The Ichabods men's junior varsity basketball team couldn't overcome sharp shooting by the Blue Devils of Kansas City Kansas Community College in a 91-73 loss Saturday afternoon at Lee Arena.

Washburn trailed early and eventually headed into the break facing a 19 point deficit. Tom Huppe posted a stellar second half posting a team-high eleven points in an attempt to ignite the Washburn offense. Huppe led Washburn with 19 points including 6 of 7 from the free-throw line and was complemented by 17 points from Darren Spruill.

KCKCC was led by Jonathan Murray and Lane Hartley who each posted 21 points each.

The Ichabods will return to action on Dec. 5 when they travel to Highland Community College for a 7 p.m. contest.
