TOPEKA, Kan. --- Washburn wasn't able to overcome an early deficit in a 103-87 loss to Johnson County Community College.
A few timely runs by the Cavaliers paired with 50 percent shooting from long range doomed the Ichabods as they fell to 4-9 on the season. Three Ichabods notched double figures on the night led by a 17-point effort from
Darren Spruill and
Tom Huppe. The Ichabods shot a season-high 57.1 percent in the second period.
Washburn will close out its 2016-17 campaign on Feb. 6 when the team host Brown Mackie College with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.
