Box Score PARSONS, Kan. -- The Washburn women's junior varsity team fell to 0-4 Tuesday, losing 67-61 to Labette Community College.
Jordan Lenherr and
KayLee Farmer each led the team in scoring with 11 points, being the only two Ichabods to score in double figures.
Lenherr filled the stat sheet with her 11, to go along with nine rebounds, and four assists. Farmer's 11 came on 4-4 shooting from the field, along with a 2-2 line on 3-pointers.
The Ichabods shot 44 percent on the night, compared to the Cardinals' 30 percent. They also rebounded Labette 55-43. Due to the Ichabods 35 turnovers, however, the Cardinals were able to put up 89 shots for the game.
Labette took a one-point halftime lead, and the Ichabods kept it close throughout, but were unable to pull ahead, as the Cardinals came away with a six-point win.
The Ichabods will take on Johnson County Community College Tuesday, looking to claim their first victory. The Cavaliers are 6-1 on the season, and are last year's NJCAA Division II National runners-up. For more information on the 2017-2018 women's JV season, visit wusports.com.
