TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn women's junior varsity basketball team wasn't able to seal the deal in a three-point loss to St. Mary University Monday evening inside Lee Arena.

The Ichabods weren't able to pull away after building a five-point lead with 4:47 to go in regulation and allowed the Spires to chip away and ultimately gut out a victory. Washburn was led in scoring by Sydney Paialii with  20 points.

Washburn will close out its season with a 1-12 record.
