Spenser Wine came through for the Washburn men's junior varsity team Tuesday, hitting a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to take home a 78-77 victory over Kansas City Kansas Community College.

The Ichabods snapped a four-game losing streak with the win, also completing a sweep of the Blue Devils as they defeated KCKCC 66-57 on Nov. 27.

AJ Pleasant led the way for the Ichabods with 25 points, to go along with eight rebounds and five assists.
JoBreil Powell was the only other Ichabod to score in double figures, scoring 10.

The Ichabods had a strong first half, takinga 42-35 lead into halftime. But the Blue Devils quickly erased the deficit to take a one-point lead of their own after an 8-0 run.
A back-and-forth second half featured 12 lead changes and six ties, with the Blue Devils taking a 77-73 lead with 21 seconds remaining. After a layup by
Jacob Dickey, and two missed free throws by KCKCC gave Wine the opportunity to steal a win from the Blue Devils, and he connected for his third 3-pointer of night to bring the Ichabods back above .500.

At 6-5, the Ichabods will face Johnson County Community College for the second time this season. The first matchup ended in a 90-84 Ichabods victory. This game against the Cavaliers will be a 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lee Arena.
