TOPEKA, Kan. – Ichabods men's JV basketball took a loss to Saint Mary, 70-58. Washburn falls to 1-3 on the season.
 
Eight different Ichabods contributed to the scoring in the first half.  Will Peterson led the half with four points. The score stayed close until the end when the Spires came away with the ten-point halftime lead.
 
The Ichabods closed the gap and even took the lead in the second with the help of Ty Abts. He scored 13 points out of his team-leading 15 points. Abts also scored eight straight points.
 
The Ichabods ultimately fell to the Spires. Washburn struggled at the free throw hitting only 7-for-15. Washburn men's JV basketball play again on Friday against Ottawa. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
