PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team took a reduced crew to the Pittsburg State Invitational and came back with five top-10 finishes. Washburn will be back in action on Friday and Saturday as the Ichabods will host the Washburn Open on Feb. 3-4 at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility.
Josh Hopkins led the Ichabods with a third-place finish in the long jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 7.27m (23-10.25).
Mackobe Merwin placed fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.38m (14-04.00) and
Jordan Dale recorded a fifth-place finish in the high jump clearing 2.01m (6-07.25)
Mitch Miller placed fifth in the weight throw with a personal best of 17.87m (58-08.00).
