TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team racked up 15 personal bests, five NCAA provisional marks and a school record competing at both the KT Woodman Classic at Wichita State and the North Texas Classic hosted in Denton, Texas.
 
Shanice Hutson returned to campus with the only school record of the weekend topping her own in the discus with a sixth-place finish at the Woodman Classic recording a mark of 45.38m (148-11.00) topping her previous high-water mark by three feet. Hutson also won the shot put in Wichita with an NCAA provisional mark of 14.56m (47-09.25).
 
Also in Wichita, Paola Castaldi finished fourth in the hammer throw with an NCAA provisional mark of 53.21m (174-07.00). Lily Johnson had a top-five showing in the 5000m run with a time of 17:35.91
 
At the UNT Classic, the Ichabods went 1-2 in the pole vault with Tassilyn Bolin winning the individual title with an NCAA provisional mark of 3.80m (12-05.50) and Rachael Mayberry was second at the same height.
 
Kim Smith was second in the long jump with a leap of 5.88m (19-03.50) for an NCAA provisional mark.
