Dawson Wills has been named a 2023 Division II PING All-American Honorable Mention, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Wills, a senior from Chaska, Minn., finished his time as an Ichabod playing in all 13 tournaments in 2022-23 with a stroke average of 73.24 after 38 rounds. He helped Washburn to its eighth trip to the NCAA Championship Tournament and led the team there, going even-par 216 (72-75-69) to tie for 14th overall.
He also recorded three top-five finishes throughout the season, including a second-place finish at the Ichabod Invitational after carding a two-under par, 211 (66-72-73). He earned his second-consecutive All-MIAA honors after placing fifth at the conference tournament.
Wills completed his Ichabod career with a 73.94 average after 32 rounds across 42 tournaments. He achieved 12 top-10 finishes in his career and won four tournaments in 2021-22.
Wills becomes the eighth different Ichabod golfer to earn All-American accolades. He was also the only student-athlete from the MIAA who was named a GCAA All-American for this past season.
