BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Washburn Ichabod men's golf team ended the fall schedule on a windy day in Oklahoma with a second-place finish at the Tulsa Cup at Indian Springs Country Club where only one golfer finished with a score of even as no player finished under par for the tournament. The Ichabods were topped by two shots by Rogers State.
Blake Saffell led the Ichabods finishing 11th overall with a score of 9-over. He had a three-day total of 225 after rounds of 72, 78 and 75.
Zach Vandervoort recorded a 54-hole total of 230 closing his fall with a 4-over 76 to finish 14-over for the tournament. He had rounds of 82 and 72 in his opening two rounds. He finished 22nd overall.
Quinn Earwood moved up the leaderboard eight spots on the final day wrapping up the tournament with a 4-over 76. He had scores of 71 and 84 in his first day of action. He finished in 26th overall.
Hayden Beck shot a final round score of 80 to finish 17-over with a scorecard of 83, 70 and 80 for a total score of 233 tying for 36th.
Marco Anderson finished in a tie for 68th with a final round score of 14-over. He tallied a three round total score of 243.
Zachary Haydamack, who was playing as an individual, finished in 72nd overall with a 29-over, 245 total for 54 holes. He closed with an 89 in his final round.
The Hillcats won the tournament with a team score of 907 followed by the Ichabods' 909. Southwestern Oklahoma State was third at 913 and Harding was fourth at 914. Central Missouri was fifth with a team score of 917.
Jack Phillips from Southwestern Oklahoma State won the tournament with an even par score of 216.
