ST. JOSEPH, Mo.. – The Washburn Ichabod men's golf team improved 12 shots from its first round to the second round to sit in fifth place after the first two rounds of the Missouri Western Central Regional Preview on Monday at St. Joseph Country Club. The final 18 holes will take place on Tuesday beginning with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m.
 
Blake Saffell leads the Ichabods sitting in a tie for 14^th overall with an even part 142. He had rounds of 73 and 71.
 
Marco Anderson is in a tie for 21^st with a score of 144 after back-to-back rounds of 72.
 
Quinn Earwood sits in a tie for 28^th after firing a 1-under, 71 after opening with a 4-over 75 for a 36-hole total of 146.
 
Hayden Beck is in a tie for 46^th after rebounding from an opening round of 79 to a round of 69 with a 2-under score to be 6-over after two rounds.
 
Zach Vandervoort is in a tie for 57^th with rounds of 74 and 76 for a 36-hole score of 150.
 
Playing as an individual, Lane Workman is in a tie for 57^th as well with identical scores of 75.
 
Central Oklahoma had rounds of 272 and 277 as a team for a 19-under score. Missouri Western is in second sitting at 1-under as a team followed by Southern Arkansas at even par, Central Missouri at 2-over and Washburn at 6-over.
