Ichabods 2 shots back of the lead at the MIAA Fall Preview

KEARNEY, Neb. – The Washburn Ichabod women's golf team shot its best round in its short history with a team score of 296 setting themselves two shots off the pace after the first day of action at the MIAA Fall Preview at Meadowlark Golf Club. The final 18 holes will take place on Tuesday.
 
Susana Granados Carrion leads the Ichabods with a 1-under 70, one shot behind leader Mia Rallo from Central Missouri. Carrion had three birdies on the day.
 
Making her Ichabod debut, Angelina Borg-Malec is 3-over after carding a round of 74 to sit in eighth place after day one. She recorded five birdies in her first action.
 
Keira Ronsick is in 13th after recording a 4-over 75 recording two birdies on the day.
 
Sitting in 33rd is Allie Sullivan who also had two birdies for a 6-over score of 77.
 
Aliyah North is in 80th place overall with a score of 15-over (86).
 
Playing as individuals for the Ichabods, Raegan Petersen is in 42nd overall with a 7-over 78 and Lois Deeter is in 84th with a 17-over 88.
 
Central Missouri has a two-shot lead over the Ichabods with a team score of 294 and Nebraska-Kearney is one shot behind the Ichabods at 297. Rogers State is in fourth with a score of 301 and Northeastern State is fifth with a team score of 303.
 
The Ichabods' previous low score of a team total of 309 at in the second round of their first event in program history at the Central Regional Fall Preview.
