BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod women's golf team opened day one of its first event in program history and sit in a tie for 10th place after 18 holes. The final 18 holes will take place on Wednesday at Adams Pointe Golf Club.
Susana Granados Carrion led the Ichabods with a 2-over score of 74 placing her in a tie for 11th after day one. Her round included birdies on holes one and four.
Keira Ronsick is in a tie for 17th after the first 18 holes of the 36-hole event with a 4-over score of 76. Ronsick had birdies on the second, 14th and 16th holes in her round.
Raegan Petersen sits in a tie for 50th with an 8-over 80 recording birdies on the 12th and 14th holes.
Aliyah North in a tie for 62nd overall with a 10-over 82 and
Allie Sullivan is in a tie for 77th after an 11-over 83 on day one of action.
Playing as an individual,
Lois Deeter is in a tie for 86th after a score of 15-over 87.
The Ichabods had a team score of 24-overall, one shot behind MIAA foe Missouri Western for ninth. Augustana (S.D.) leads the tournament with a team score of 8-over (296), followed by Nebraska Kearney 13-over (301). Henderson State is in a tie for second with the Lopers and Missouri Southern is in fourth with a team score of 305.
