PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team wrapped up the Rumble In the Jungle on Friday hosted by Pittsburg State returning to Topeka with 10 top-five finishes and three NCAA provisional marks. The Ichabods will be back in action Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at the Washburn Open at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility for their first two-day meet of the season.
Ta'Mijha Nichols was third in both the 60m prelims and finals recording a time of 7.58 for an NCAA provisional mark and
McKenzie Hayse was fifth in a time of 7.75. The duo also went 2-3 in the 200m with Hayse finishing in a time of 24.90 and Nichols was third in a time of 25.07. Hayse recorded her third top-five finish of the day with a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.36m (17-07.00).
Isabel Demarco de Quadros was second in the pole vault with an NCAA provisional mark of 4.07m (13-04.00).
Katelyn Jones was third in the 600y in a time of 1:27.80.
Adriel Holloway was third in the shot put with a mark of 13.34m (43-09.00).
