SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Washburn Ichabod women's golf team sits in 12
th place with a two-round score of 640 in the squad's first event of the spring season at the Rattler Invitational. The Ichabods will complete the three-round tournament at The Dominion Country Club on Tuesday.
Susana Granados Carrion paced the Ichabods on the day, sitting in a tie for 27th with a 12-over 156. Granados Carrion shot rounds of 73 and 83 on the day, featuring a three-under 33 on the front nine of her first round.
Keira Ronsick sits in a tie for 35th at 14-over 158 after posting rounds of 77 and 81.
Angelina Borg-Malec and
Allie Sullivan both finished the day with a 19-over 163, good for a tie for 59th. Borg-Malec came in with rounds of 82 and 81, while Sullivan opened with an 84 before improving by five shots with a second-round 79.
Raegan Petersen finished the day in 84th place after posting rounds of 94 and 88.
Playing as an individual,
Aliyah North sits in a tie for 62nd after firing back-to-back rounds of 82 for a 20-over 164.
Odessa College leads the competition after posting a team score of 580. Washburn sits three shots ahead of Angelo State, while trailing 11th-place Cameron University by five shots.
