DESTIN, Fla. – The Washburn Ichabod women's golf team posted its best team score of the three-round Emerald Coast Classic on Tuesday, with the Ichabods moving up two spots to finish in 14
th place for the tournament. Four Washburn players fired their lowest rounds of the tournament in the closing round.
Keira Ronsick paced the Ichabods on the day with a final-round 1-over 72, finishing in a tie for 40
th place at 16-over. Ronsick kept a clean scorecard on the back nine, finishing with an even-par 35.
Susana Granados Carrion led the Ichabods for the tournament, finishing in a tie for 31
st at 12-over after closing with a 2-over 73. Granados Carrion made three birdies in the round while scoring over par on only three holes.
Allie Sullivan finished in a tie for 53
rd place after a final-round 2-over 73, moving up 13 spots on the leaderboard. Sullivan posted an even-par 36 on the front nine in the third round.
Angelina Borg-Malec finished in 84
th place, finding two birdies on her way to a third-round 3-over 74.
Aliyah North ended the tournament in 91
st place, closing the trip with a 12-over 83.
Playing as an individual,
Raegan Petersen finished in a tie for 74
th place, posting a final-round 8-over 79.
Washburn concluded the day with a team score of 292, bringing its three-day total to 924. The Ichabods trailed Central Oklahoma by three strokes, while holding a six-shot advantage over Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Flagler claimed the team title by 14 strokes, finishing at 8-under as a team. The Saints occupied the top two spots on the individual leaderboard, with Henriette Stranda and Stella Jelinek finishing at 9-under and 7-under, respectively.
The Ichabods will return to Kansas for the Konzem-Capra Invitational in Spring Hill from March 20-21.
