TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team was in action at multiple meets on Thursday and late Wednesday night in California and the squad will be bringing back five personal bests, a school record and three NCAA provisional marks. The Ichabods continue their left coast swing as well as the Kansas Relays on Friday.
Paola Castaldi finished second in the hammer throw with a personal best mark of 58.53m (192-00) at the Kansas Relays.
Late Wednesday night in California at the Bryan Clay Invitational,
Eve Weber broke her own school record in the 3,000m steeple with a time of 10:35.07, shaving seven-plus seconds off her previous record, finishing 35th overall.
At the Pacific Coast Invitational,
Isabel Demarco de Quadros finished third and was the highest NCAA Division II finisher with an NCAA provisional mark of 4.09m (13-05.00).
