Marco Anderson recorded a run of eight consecutive pars in his opening round of the NCAA Division II Golf National Championships at PGA National Resort. Anderson will be back on the course on Tuesday at 12:55 pm in the day's final grouping.
After opening with a double bogey followed by a bogey in his first two holes, Anderson recorded pars on holes three through 10 going out in a score of 3-over 39.
On the backside of the course, Anderson was 6-over for a final score of 81 at 9-over, tying for 99
th after the first day of play.
St. Mary's (Texas) leads the team race after shooting a combined score of 9-under, followed by Florida Southern at 2-under and Lee at 1-under as the only three teams in red numbers.
