Men's golf completes first round at NCAA Super Regional

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabod men's golf team sits in 20th place after the first round of the NCAA Midwest/Central Super Regional, posting a team score of 312. The Ichabods will play the second round tomorrow morning at St. Joseph Country Club, with tee times starting at 9:30 a.m. 

Marco Anderson leads the Ichabods, sitting in a tie for 49th place after a 4-over 75. Anderson made birdies at three of the four par-5s on the course, putting him in a tie for 5th among the field in the metric. 

Blake Saffell sits in a tie for 82nd after a 7-over 78. Saffell made three birdies in the round, with two of them coming on par-5s. 

Hayden Beck finished the day in a tie for 93rd place after an 8-over 79. Beck made birdie at the par-5, 510-yard 17th hole. 

Quinn Earwood sits in a tie for 99th place after a 9-over 80. Earwood finished the day strong, making birdie at the par-5, 489-yard 18th hole. 

Zachary Haydamack is also tied for 99th after a round of 80. Haydamack made two birdies on the day, coming at the 13th and 18th holes. 

Central Oklahoma holds a 10-stroke lead over Central Missouri on the team leaderboard, with the Bronchos firing a 4-under 280 as a squad. Jordan Wilson of Central Oklahoma took a one-shot lead after the first round with a 3-under 68.
