SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - The Washburn Women's Golf team resumes action tomorrow, Monday, February 23rd, at the Rattler Invitational. The tournament kicks off with an 8:15 AM shotgun start with 36 holes on Monday.
"Happy and ready they the spring semester started with our ladies," said Head Coach
Ronnie McHenry. "They have put in the work this winter and off-season and will be good to see it under tournament conditions. It can be a difficult golf course against a stacked tournament field, but that should be what we want to see as we start gearing up for a postseason run."
Susana Grandos Carrion is looking to pick up where she left off in the fall, with three top-5 finishes. The Spaniard had a season-best, 3rd place finish at the Midwest Classic. She is also ranked #85 in the individual rankings.
Senior
Angelina Borg-Malec had a good fall, which included two top 10 finishes during the fall season. She also had a season-best finish at the Midwest Classic, where she tied for seventh.
Keira Ronsick, the Wichita, Kan. native, opened the fall season with a top 5 finish at the Fall Brawl, where she also shot her season low round of 70. Finished top 20 at the Midwest Classic.
Topekan
Raegan Petersen had a fall season-best finish of tied for 32nd at the Fall Brawl.
Aliyah North had two top 30 finishes in the fall at the Fall Brawl & Lady Bulldog Desert Classic. Shot a season low round of 78 twice at the Lady Bulldog Desert Classic.
