BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – A small group of seven student-athletes from the Washburn track and field teams were in action today, bringing back two first-place finishes at the Zach Kindler Invitational. Washburn will be in action starting Friday at the MIAA Outdoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kan.
On the women's side,
Adriel Holloway brought back an individual title with a mark of 52.62m (172-08) in the hammer throw. Jayden Falley finished second in the event with a throw of 49.98m (164-00).
The Ichabod men's team brought back a championship as
Adam Wooldridge recorded an NCAA provisional mark in the pole vault clearing 5.05m (16-06.75).
Eli Strawn was third with a personal best of 4.75m (15-07.00) and
Caden Caplinger and
Logan Schwab tied for fourth at 4.60m (15-01.00).
